we're at a crucial moment. in 20-30 years, there may not be any drinkable water or clean air or edible fish or healthy crops. how will we humans survive with nothing but cars, buildings, and bombs? who will care about wall street or the fiat money system then?

what kind of music do you play?  that has to be the most irritating question you can ask a band or musician when they're setting up. whenever someone asks that, they immediately shrink to pre-adolescent status. it's like a child is standing in front of you saying, "what kind of ice cream do you have? i only like chocolate. if you don't have chocolate, i'm going to leave."

i know that all of you have seen a plethora of poor quality cell phone clips posted on youtube. i always ask myself, why did they even post this? you can hardly make out the artist on the stage, the sound is terrible, and you hear the guy/girl with the phone talking and laughing over the music. i don't get it. it's like, "look at me, i'm at a concert!" um...ok.

only 58% of americans have a job right now. in the dc area, about 38% of them are employed by federal, state, and local governments. think about that.

no one in my household has a regular full-time job. that is by choice. we are getting by. slightly below comfortable, but we, like so many others, we are making do month to month.  i'm sharing the following article. it's very enlightening...
